Weather WatchDue to the recent inclement weather and the threat of more to come, as well as questions about the services on Sunday, it has been decided to consider the safety of those who would be traveling to services this Sunday and to cancel them.  Worship services will resume next week.

Christmas Wishes

Christmas is an important time for family, friends and celebration. Christmas Eve services are meaningful moments in our spiritual journeys. Come home to God and celebrate the joy of birth of Our Lord, Jesus, with your church family at Dundalk United Methodist Church or Graceland United Methodist Church. Come to worship God where all are welcome as God’s children.

2013 Christmas Eve services will be held at both Dundalk UMC and Graceland UMC.  Graceland United Methodist Church will hold a 7:00PM family-oriented service.  Dundalk United Methodist Church will hold a candlelight service at 10:00PM.  All are welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you there!

Music of the Civil War Era Awaits Listeners as the Maryland Defense Force Band Commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg

The Maryland Defense Force (MDDF) Band will present a concert of wind and brass band favorites on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Dundalk United Methodist Church located at 6903 Mornington Road, Dundalk, MD. The concert will include several selections popular in America during the 19th Century. Featured soloists will include Brig. Gen. Peter Hinz, the Assistant Adjutant General – Army on violin, trombonist Jared Denhard, and guitarist Richard McCready.

Serving since 1930, Dundalk United Methodist Church’s Christ-centered, people-oriented mission has been to serve God by worshiping, and to serve the community by evangelizing and recognizing and meeting human needs. Dundalk United Methodist Church was organized as a mission of Patapsco Methodist Episcopal Church. The Bethlehem Steel Company donated the present site early in 1937. Widely known as “Maryland’s Musical Ambassadors,” the Maryland Defense Force Band is a ceremonial unit of the MDDF. The MDDF Band provides musical support to the Maryland Military Department and provides ceremonial support to the State of Maryland. The Maryland Defense Force (MDDF) is the State’s uniformed volunteer military unit providing professional and technical assistance to the Maryland Military Department. Established in 1917, the MDDF consists of nearly 450 personnel who perform legal, engineering, finance, medical, chaplain, field support and ceremonial services for the State of Maryland. Live Nativity Presentation – The Christmas Gift

Join the Dundalk/Graceland UMC Parish for a Live Nativity Presentation “The Christmas Gift”

The presentation will take place on Saturday, December 15 in the Fellowship Hall. Continuous fellowship time will occur from 4PM-9PM with performances at 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30PM.   It is FREE to all who wish to join us and we will be serving hot drinks, cookies, and homemade soups.   Donations of soup, cookies, and how cocoa mix are requested and kitchen help is accepted.  We’ll see you there!Nativity Scene
